Does Target Print Photos? No. Here’s Where to Go

Short answer: no. Target doesn't have a photo center or photo kiosks, and it doesn't print photos in its stores. Typing target.com/photo takes you to EZPrints, a separate online lab that mails your prints. If you need prints today, Walmart (4x6 for 18 cents, ready in an hour), Walgreens and CVS all print from your phone for same-day pickup.
That surprises a lot of people, because Target used to have photo departments. Here's what happened, where to print instead, and what Target still sells if you're after photos you can hold.
What happened to Target Photo
Target wound down its in-store photo kiosks over several years. In January 2023 its online service, Target Photo, handed its customers to its long-time printing partner, EZ Prints, according to the customer notice quoted by the photo-industry site The Dead Pixels Society. Today target.com/photo forwards to ezprints.com, which doesn't mention Target at all.
Target's own store-services list (pharmacy, Starbucks, optical, Apple and so on) has no photo service. Some Targets have a CVS pharmacy counter inside; we couldn't confirm that any of them print photos, so call the store before you go.
Where to print photos instead
All four of these take photos straight from your phone through their website or app:
| Where | 4x6 print | Ready |
|---|---|---|
| Walmart Photo | $0.18 | 1-hour pickup at the store, or shipped in 3 to 5 business days |
| Walgreens Photo | From $0.29 | Same-day pickup at most stores, often in about an hour |
| CVS Photo | From $0.32 | Same-day pickup on select products ordered by 7 pm |
| Office Depot / OfficeMax | From $0.29–0.39 | Next day if ordered by 2 pm; not every store |
Prices as listed on Walmart Photo, Walgreens Photo, CVS Photo and Office Depot on October 21, 2026. Sales and coupons change weekly, so the price at checkout may be lower.
If you don't need them today, EZPrints (where Target's old photo link goes) lists 4x6 prints from 10 cents by mail, with free shipping on orders over $79.
What Target does sell for photos
- Instax film. A Fujifilm Instax Mini twin pack (20 sheets) is $18.49, about 92 cents a sheet, and a Square twin pack is $21.99. Film only helps if you own an Instax camera or printer.
- The Instax Mini Link 3 printer ($116.99). It prints phone photos on real Instax Mini film, the same film our prints are made on.
- Kodak Mini 2 Retro ($139.99 regular price). It makes prints the size of an Instax Mini, but on Kodak photo paper, not instant film.
- Zink printers such as the Canon IVY 2, Kodak Step and HP Sprocket. They make 2x3 sticker-backed prints with no ink.
- Polaroid i-Type film ($36.99 for a two-pack) for Polaroid cameras.
Prices as listed on target.com on October 21, 2026; stores and sales vary.
Doing the math at Target's prices: a Mini Link 3 plus Target's film beats ordering 10-packs of real Instax prints after roughly 60 prints, and 20-packs after roughly 80. Below that, ordering costs less.
Want them to look like polaroids?
If what you're really after is the instant-film look, the white frame and the glossy, slightly dreamy picture, a regular 4x6 won't do it. You have three routes:
- Paper retro prints. Walgreens prints Retro Mini Prints, two polaroid-style photos on a 99-cent 4x6 sheet that you cut apart, and Walmart sells a set of 25 retro prints by mail. Cheap and fast, but it's printed paper, not film.
- Your own Instax printer. A Fujifilm Instax Mini Link 3 prints phone photos on real Instax film. It pays off if you'll print a lot; our Instax printer math has the break-even.
- Order real film prints. We print your phone photos on genuine Fujifilm Instax film and mail them: $18 for 5 Mini prints with free US shipping, shipped within 2 business days. We can send them straight to someone else, too.
Every option, drugstore to film, is laid out with prices on where to print polaroid-style photos.
Real instant film, from your phone
Upload, crop and filter, and we print on genuine Instax film. From $18 for 5, free US shipping.
